3 Days Allotted To Israel To Bomb Bushehr, Says John Bolton

Agence France-Presse reports that John Bolton, previous U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., says that there is only a 3 day window before the Bushehr nuclear plant becomes functional where Israel can bomb. In three days, the plants core will fill with nuclear fuel meaning any attack will mean a ton of harm and radiation spreading throughout Iran. Bushehr is likely to be safe from any attack coming from Israel, although many like Bolton are trying to start a war with Israel and Iran. Iran has continued to get more nuclear weapons although the European Union and also the United States have made sanctions.

Bolton thinks nuclear weapons will come from Bushehr

John Bolton, always known for his aggressive, irascible style, doesn’t mince words regarding Bushehr. Saddam Hussein would love it if this turns into a weapons factory like Bushehr thinks it will, reports AFP. The argument between Iran and the United Nations is as such: Does Iran hope to have more power because of nuclear power, or does it really just getting a nuclear weapons program going? Bolton, now a senior fellow at the conservative think-tank American Enterprise Institute, has been fixated for years on potential nuclear weapons programs in nations like North Korea and Iran. Bolton has been said to have no evidence on a lot of his beliefs and is also known to take evidence and turn it around, while CBS News and other news sources think he is a “one-track mind” when it comes to the subject.

Bolton loves the bomb idea

The way Obama is looking at Iran really bothers Bolton, according to the New York Times:

“There is no possibility the Obama administration will use force, despite its confused and ever-changing formulation about the military option always being ‘on the table.’… It is hard to conclude anything except that the Obama administration is resigned to Iran possessing nuclear weapons. While U.S. policymakers will not welcome that outcome, they certainly hope as a corollary that Iran can be contained and deterred. Since they have ruled out the only immediate alternative, military force, they are doubtless now busy preparing to make lemonade out of this pile of lemons.”

Foreign Policy magazine makes it clear that bombing Bushehr would mean the start of a war The United States has had a complex relationship with the Jewish state. World War II was a major turning point, and also the U.S. warmed even more to the cause of Israel in the days following Israel’s victory in 1967’s Six Day War. Thus, it is reasonable to say that when the nations do not have specific treaties in place, the United States and Israel are de-facto allies. A war would mean certain involvement for the U.S., although the States don’t have a “just or strategically sound cause for initiating war,” reports Foreign Policy magazine. This is possibly why John Bolton would love to see Israel do the job on its own. Even Bolton who is all about war knows when to stay uninvolved considering the state of the United States military at present. Does the U.S. really think it can stay out of the war if Israel decides to bomb the place?
