Adjust All Clocks On Nov 7 For The 2010 Fall Time Change

The time change for the 2010 fall season this year is slated for Nov. 7. The this year time zone change for Fall will not last for long. For only 18 weeks, the time change can have effect. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 adjusted the timing of Daylight Saving Time. The effect of this is that the time zone change for this year had been itself pushed back.

The time change in fall of 2010 is going to officially take place at 2 a.m. on November 7. A one hour adjust back is what most U.S., states could be changing to. The fall back of Daylight Saving Time will be “corrected” at 2 a.m. on March 13.

World War I was when Daylight Savings Time was started in the U.S.. The “extra” hour of daylight had been intended to support save energy for wartime manufacturing. Some communities stopped following Daylight Savings Time during World War II. Others continued to follow it though. Daylight Savings Time became standardized in 1966 with the Uniform Time Act.

Kyrgyzstan and Iceland observe the time change year-round, effectively not observing a time change at all.

Will things be better with the 2010 fall time change?

The Daylight Savings Time Zone Change argument is that energy will be saved. This is for all Time changes including the this year Fall change. The point of switching Time is to “make use” of daylight hrs. This should allow individuals to use lights in their homes for less Time through the afternoon.
