The mom insists that her child is happy after giving birth, even at such a young age. The new grandma and pregnant child went to Spain to birth the child, and both are Roma, individuals sometimes called gypsies. Marriages and pregnancies that numerous civilizations think about significantly, even criminally, young aren’t uncommon at all among Roma.

A story that began in Andalusia has gotten very popular. “10-year-old gives birth” is the name of the story. Recently, in Jelez de la Frontera, a 10-year-old Roma girl gave birth to a daughter, as outlined by the Huffington Post. The 10-year-old’s mom, Olimpia, is keeping her daughter’s identity private. The father of the child is expected to be in Romania and is supposed to be 13, although this is unverified. He isn’t with the mother. Their relationship ended. This isn’t an unusual event, Olimpia says as a new grandmother. She says that getting married and giving birth is something women do young in her culture. Even though underage and arranged marriages are illegal in some countries, the marriages are arranged still.
Record age is half that
AOL News reports that Lina Medina is the youngest mother on record who in 1939 gave birth at 5 years in Peru. A hormone imbalance is put into some children as they start puberty early which is called precocious puberty. Typically, if a female with precocious puberty gives birth to a child, the alleged father is arrested. In Spain, the legal age of consent for minors is 13, and breach of that brings charges of child abuse. Most teen pregnancies come from Andalusia in Spain. In fact, in 2008, 48 of the 177 births from girls younger than 15 originated from Andalusia.
Different cultures allow different things
Most are married really young in Roma. In fact, within the European culture, this is something most criticized. The federal government expelled many of the Roma living in France recently.
