How You Can Use Decorative Mirrors

Here is a post about how to best use decorative bathroom mirrors and other types in your home. I know that some people are keen on doing this but simply lack the right information and guidance. As you read below you will begin to get some great ideas on how to use mirrors with ease.

There are a number of benefits for using mirrors to decorate your house. For example, if you feel like your house is not well lit they can help add some natural light. Some people even use them to create a sense of space in their small houses.

What this all means is that you can use mirrors to “enlarge” a small room. To top it all, they can add a sense of style to your rather dull home – no offense intended.

Here is a quick list of how to go about using them around your house

  • Consider putting them at a corner in the room, on top of a table or above the fireplace. You can also place them at a wall that faces the doorway especially if you have a very small passage from the entrance.
  • You also have an option to position the mirrors e.g. antique bathroom mirrors at an adjoining wall to widen the space.
  • If you have a short hallway then you should place it at the far end to extend the hallway.
  • You also have an option to place them side by side on a stair case not only for the view but to widen the staircase
  • You can use them in the bathroom, bedroom and even in your kitchen depending on where you need more space and more light.
  • Do not position the mirror such that it reflects some clumsy part of your house. It really wouldn’t be cool to do this as your house would seem cluttered and clumsy than classy and airy?

So whether you choose to use unframed mirrors, wall mirrors, round, floor, antique or what ever type if properly placed they are most likely to make your home look great even to a child’s eye.
